Essex Cosmetic Dentist in Southend-on-Sea
Apollo Dental Health Clinic is a large group practice of five dentists and five hygienists. We have a supporting staff of three receptionists, nine dental nurses and a Practice Manager.
We provide a complete dental care service for our patients encompassing all aspects of dentistry, from preventative care and maintenance to cosmetic smile enhancement.
We also have links to specialist referral centres for specific treatments should these be required. The practice was originally founded in the 1920's on Southend High Street.
Our ethos of continual evolvement is reflected not only in the several changes of our location since foundation, but also in our effort to be at the forefront of modern dentistry.

Dr Harry Brien BDS NUI GDC No: 67823
Harry joined the practice in 1992, after qualifying with an honours degree from University College Cork, Ireland. Having been an associate for 5 years, Harry became a partner in 1997. With the retirement of Dr. Jonathan Cutler in 2001, Harry became Principal Dentist, and the practice name changed to Apollo Dental Health Clinic.
Harry practices in general family dentistry and is a part-time clinical tutor at the Barts. & The London University out-reach clinic in Southend, where he tutors final-year dentistry undergraduates. Harry is currently enrolled in a 2-year part-time course at the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, Royal College of Surgeons, London, with the view to completing a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry. He is married to Mary, also a dentist at the practice.
Dr Donal Crotty BDS NUI GDC No: 70330
Donal qualified from University College Cork in 1994. He has been with Apollo Dental Health Clinic since 1997, when he joined as an associated dentist.
Donal became partner in 2006 and practices general family dentistry. In his spare time Donal enjoys sports (mainly as a spectator) and travel and is the proud father of 3 boys.

Dr Mary Brien BDS NUI GDC No: 73902
Mary qualified from University College Cork in 1995 and practiced in community dentistry in Ireland for 2 years, working mainly in children's dental health.
Mary moved to Essex and, having practiced general dentistry at other practices, she joined Apollo Dental Health Clinic in 2002. Mary has an interest in all aspects of family dentistry and regularly attends courses on the latest techniques for provision of optimal dental care to both adults and children.
Mary is married to Harry Brien, and together they have 2 children.
Dr Noushad Nabi BDS (Liverpool) GDC No: 66061
Noushad is a local man and was educated at Southend High School for Boys before going on to study dentistry at the University of Liverpool. Since graduating in 1990, he has had a broad range of experience, including clinical posts at Guy's and Liverpool Hospitals in Special Needs and Oral Surgery/Oral medicine.
Noushad is past Chairman of the Basildon section of the British Dental Association.
He joined Apollo Dental Health Clinic in 2003 along with his wife Shameem, also a dentist at the practice. They live in Thorpe Bay and have four young children together. In his spare time Noushad enjoys squash, football and cricket.
Dr Shameem Nabi BDS (London) LDS RCS Dip. Dent. Sed. GDC No: 67497
Shameem qualified from University College London (UCL) in 1991. Although most of her career has been in general practice, she has held posts at both Guy's and the Royal London Hospitals, treating patients with special needs.
Shameem has a keen interest in Conscious Sedation. As a working mother of four children, in the little spare time that she has, Shameem enjoys swimming, reading and fine cuisine!
She is Treasurer of the PTA at Alleyn Court, where her younger children attend school. Shameem and her family have been happily settled in Southend since 2000.
